Editing a Brand Stack

How to edit Brand Stack sections — Identity, Voice, Typography, and Color — without regenerating. Covers the edit tearsheet, collapsing groups, making and saving changes, and what each section contains.

Every section of a Brand Stack is editable from the detail page. You don’t need to regenerate a stack to fix a detail, adjust your positioning copy, or swap a color.

The detail page organizes sections into three collapsible groups — Brand (the versioned model), Audience (personas), and Assets (generated artifacts) — with a Build panel on the right for installing and governing the stack.

Editable sections

Four sections support editing:

  • Identity — Brand name, one-liner, mission, positioning, about copy, industry, product type, and core values
  • Voice — Voice descriptors, banned words, and writing samples
  • Typography — Display and body font pairings
  • Color — Brand color palette with OKLCH-based tone controls

Other sections (Logos, Personas, Mockups) are managed through their own dedicated flows rather than text editing.

How to edit a section

  1. On the Brand Stack detail page, find the section you want to change
  2. Click the Edit button in the section header’s right cluster
  3. The edit form opens in a tearsheet on the right — the page stays visible behind it
  4. Make your changes. Category-style fields (industry, product type, core values, voice descriptors) are searchable pickers with curated suggestions; you can also type your own values
  5. Click Save in the tearsheet footer — changes are persisted immediately
  6. Click Cancel (or press Escape) to discard and close

One tearsheet is open at a time. Every save cuts a new version of the stack — see Version History, Proposals & Connections to browse what changed and when.

Collapsing groups

Each of the three groups (Brand, Audience, Assets) can be collapsed to give you more room to focus. Click the chevron (▾) button at the right of the group header to collapse or expand it. A group with a section that’s still generating or has failed expands automatically so status is never hidden.

The Color section

The Color section has the most controls:

  • Mood presets — Pre-tuned variations (Vibrant, Calm, Bold, Soft, Deep, Neutral) that shift the full palette in one click while staying on-brand
  • Fine-tune sliders — Adjust lightness, chroma, and hue rotation independently for each role (primary, secondary, accent, neutral, status)
  • Advanced edit — Input exact hex values if you know what you want

Colors are stored in OKLCH — a perceptually uniform color space that keeps saturation visually consistent across different lightness levels. When you export or download the color token file, everything converts to hex and CSS variables automatically.
