Research & Collaboration

Ask questions, search for sources, add comments, view the table of contents, and collaborate with your team inside the document editor.

Every document has a right side panel with three tabs for research, navigation, and team collaboration.

Brand Stack AI (Research)

Open the AI Chat tab to ask questions about your document and conduct research without leaving the editor.

Type a question and Brand Stack AI answers based on the document content, your linked personas, and product context. Use it to explore angles, check consistency, or generate ideas for sections you haven’t written yet.

Search sources

Responses include linked sources when relevant, showing where information came from. This helps you verify claims, dig deeper into specific topics, and build a trail of evidence behind your document.

Comments

Select text in the document, then open the Comments tab to start a discussion thread right next to the relevant content. Team members see comments in real time and can reply in threads.

Use comments to:

Flag sections for review — Tag teammates to review specific claims or recommendations
Ask questions in context — “Is this the right framing for the enterprise segment?” right next to the paragraph in question
Track decisions — Resolve threads when feedback is addressed so nothing gets lost
Coordinate cross-functionally — Product, marketing, design, and sales can all annotate the same document with their perspective

The Contents tab shows a table of contents generated from your document’s headings. Click any heading to jump directly to that section.

Useful for longer documents like research summaries, competitive analyses, or PRDs where you need to quickly navigate between sections during editing or review.

Saving your document

Documents save explicitly — use ⌘S (Mac) or Ctrl+S (Windows/Linux), or click the Save button in the editor toolbar. A save-status indicator shows when your document was last saved and flags any unsaved changes.

Brand Stack also auto-saves every 10 seconds whenever there are unsaved changes, so nothing is lost if you navigate away. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, you’ll be prompted to save before exiting.

Collaboration

Team members can work in the same document and leave comments. Comments appear in the right panel and can be resolved once addressed. All plans include unlimited users, so your entire team can collaborate without per-seat restrictions.
