Templates

Create reusable device mockup templates once, then drop any screen into them to generate consistent mockups across your whole campaign.

Templates are reusable device compositions: a great device, camera angle, lighting setup, and styling that you can reuse again and again. Build a template once in the Template Studio, then drop any product screen into it from the Mockup Studio to produce on-brand mockups that all look like they came from the same photo shoot.

Why templates

Generating every mockup from scratch is slow and inconsistent: the same idea can come out with a slightly different device, angle, or mood each time. A template captures the look once so every mockup made from it stays visually consistent, which keeps a campaign feeling cohesive.

Creating a template

Open the Template Studio from the Templates page (or the “Create” button) and choose your composition inputs:

  • Device — the hero of the shot (iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad, and more)
  • Camera — angle and lens for the framing
  • Lighting — the mood and atmosphere of the scene
  • Style reference — optionally upload an image to match its colors and tone
  • Aspect ratio and resolution — the output dimensions and quality tier
  • Instructions — any extra direction in your own words

Templates are composition only. They do not bake in a specific persona or screenshot, so the same template works across many products and screens. Generate, review, and upscale just like the Mockup and Scene studios.

Give your template a name when you save it, or rename it anytime from the Templates page, so it’s easy to find later instead of sitting in your gallery unlabeled. Every template’s own page also has a ready-to-paste prompt for asking your AI agent to reuse that exact look — see Templates via MCP.

Using a template in the Mockup Studio

Inside the Mockup Studio, open the Templates section of the left panel. You will see:

  1. Your templates first: everything your workspace has created.
  2. Community templates: public templates from across Brand Stack, so you can start strong even before your workspace has its own.
  3. A Create a template link if you would rather build your own.

Selecting a template prefills the studio settings (device, camera, lighting, aspect ratio, instructions) and feeds the template image to the model as a composition reference, so your mockup matches its look while showing your screen. From the Templates gallery, a template card’s Use template button jumps straight into the studio with that composition already applied.

Community templates

Browse public templates at /community/templates. From any community template you can:

  • Create Mockup — start a mockup from that template in your workspace.
  • Modify Template — open it in the Template Studio to adjust the prompt and make it your own.

Publish your own templates from the Templates gallery to share them with the community and help other teams move faster.
